Greek Key Tile

I need yalls expert advice.
I am working on a house.
In an attempt to break the builder stereotype,
I am trying to add a few classic touches to add some personality.

Greek key,
Yay or nay?

Booth Custom | Raleigh

I love my town of Raleigh and am really passionate about supporting local businesses.
When I first came across The Scout Guide I fell in love.
It showcases small businesses in the most beautiful way.

Volume II is no exception. I am so excited to see my dear friends from Booth Custom.
They have a special space in my heart because they made my most treasured possession, my engagement ring. They also trusted me to help design their Five Points store. Needless to say, I am very proud of them and love watching them grow.

Brian, the owner told me they had stocked up on eternity rings. These are a perfect holiday gift for someone who is really special.

Weekend Recap

It was so fun meeting so many new faces at the yard sale this weekend.
Rachel and I were overwhelmed at the craziness. I feel like I was all over the place.
Thank you so much for coming!

After the crowd parted Rachel and I decided to ditch our own yard sale and head the the flea market, which was exceptionally awesome this weekend.
I spent my yard sale fortune on a zodiac jar and art.

Thank you Caroline and Meredith for your contributions!!!

Things of Note

Do not forget Rachel and I are having a yard sale. It is starting at 10am. Sunday. My house.
4513 Wilkes St.

Last night I ventured to Durham to catch a glimpse at the new C. Wonder Store. We are really moving up in the world Raleigh-Durham. Lots of good holiday knick knacks. If you are in town this weekend they are having a Grand Opening starting today. Southpoint Mall in Durham.

On a random note, my blog friend Alex showed off some pictures of her new kitchen. I am in love with her counter tops. I deal with counter tops all day long and I am here to tell you, there is not a lot out there folks. Honed granite is a fraction of the cost of Caesarstone/Quartz. It is also more attractive if you ask me.

I scored these exact Isable Marant booties from the H&M callabo yesterday. I would really like to pair them with white pants. Raleigh, NC is going to stroke out.

Nooks and New Art

I did a really quick design for a friend who is putting some final touches on her house.
In the process I came across a new artist, Laura Wright. I am having a weird lemon moment these prints are really doing it for me.

The initial design did not have a rug. Babies and rugs really do not mix. This spotted Plum & Bow rug is really affordable, so you do not have to worry about spills.

My go to chair for small spaces is The Darlington from Society Social. They come in so many colors, you can always find something. Roxy's designs are really thoughtful and try to maximize space.

I had to get this out before all of the holiday madness starts. I am absolutely crazy obsessed about the holidays this year. Does anyone else feel like November 1st hit and it was Christmas?

Brain Dump | All Things Random

I never really got on the tribal train. It just seems too trendy, even for me.
When I saw this dress everything changed. I think it is the blue, with the pink and the gold.
For $100, this dress can go a long way during the holiday season and beyond.

Arcade Fire- Reflecktor
Doug and I are playing this whole album on repeat. It is a little reminiscent of The Cure.

My friend, who knows me way too well sent me this apartment tour this week. I had seen bits and pieces all over the Internet but as a whole, this might be one of my all time favorites. It is young, collected and made all of my blue and white dreams come true.

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
I started Crazy Rich Asians this week and I cannot put it down.
I feel like I am watching an episode of Real Housewives of Singapore.

Oversized Sweaters

With temperatures dropping like it is hot...

I am searching for the perfect oversize sweater to help me make it through February.

Thanksgiving Table

My favorite hobby is setting the table. It is only natural one of my favorite holidays would be Thanksgiving. While no one is letting me host Thanksgiving anytime soon, thanks to my lack of cooking skills, I have dreamed up a couple tables.

Fancy Pants Beds

One of my favorite things in the world is a canopy bed. All my granny decorating tendancies long for a covered canopy to keep me cozy at night. While I know this is no where in the near future, a girl can dream.

Bailey McCarthy loves her a canopy bed. I love the idea of unexpected art.

I am really feeling this because it actually seems doable. Without the side panels you are saving a ton of money on fabric.

The next two are from my favorite designer, Ashley Whitaker's portofolio.
This is saved in my "when I grow up file". I want a custom canopy with a matching bedskirt.

Thoughts on canopies? Too granny? Too southern?
Too much expensive fabric?
