Estate Sale Finds

The past couple weekends I have been to some wonderful estate sales in Raleigh.
The first sale from Carolina Estate Sales I walked away with an amazing set of gold plated flatware. It was the end of the day so everything was marked down 50% off.

We had Doug's parents over for dinner to test it out.

My next find was a Swarovski crystal chandelier. Hopefully we can figure out how to hang it...

If you are interested in Estate Sales you can go here and see what is coming up.

Our air conditioner died. My dreams of wallpaper died with it.

Happy Friday Friends

I would really like this outfit. More importantly, I would really like to go somewhere that I could wear this outfit. Preferably, this weekend.

HELP!

When I got this email yesterday my heart started to hurt. Saving Grace is a non-profit organization that helps homeless animals find a home FOREVER.  They are the organization that saved Hank from the side of the road 2 1/2 years ago.  If you are thinking about getting a dog you should check out their website. Right now they desperately need donations, volunteers, and foster parents. Read the letter below:

Saving Grace has been very busy this week helping with a puppy mill seizure in North Carolina. A couple hundred dogs have been living stacked in cages, covered in filth, unable to get exercise (or in some cases, even fresh air). There are mothers and puppies as well as individual dogs. We are very glad to be able to assist in helping these dogs, but the amount of help we will be able to provide depends on you! We need your support in many ways. Donations are greatly needed. We are still working on making our building improvements to pass the state inspection, so our funding has gone to that lately. We will need monetary resources to get the dogs the medical treatment they need. Volunteers will be needed to help bath, groom, and care for these dogs when they come into the Saving Grace program. There are dogs of all kinds who will be in need of foster homes, so if you are willing to foster, please let us know. We will be working for weeks and months helping these dogs prepare for adoption by providing them with veterinary care, rehabilitation, and proper cleaning. The number of dogs we are able to help depends on the resources available, so please donate or volunteer to help us provide these dogs with the life they so deserve.

Thanks!

Molly Goldston

Wedding: Playing Dress Up

I figured I could share some details of the wedding since I have talked about it for the past year and half.
Seriously, no one needs that long of an engagement. I am so happy that everything turned out the way it did.
I about gave myself a heart attack when I had bought 2 dresses. I am so happy I went with my gut and got the dress I really loved. I do not have pictures back from the wedding but I have some from my bridal portraits with the amazing Kristin Byrum.

Pink peonies are my favorite.

My veil was by far my favorite part of the wedding attire. Nothing like a veil to make you feel like a bride.

Life post honeymoon looks something like this...

Souvenir from Belize

Wedding gifts galore

The new Home Goods opened in North Raleigh.

I picked up some new pillows and some fun boxes.

While we were in Belize we finally got some art to start our gallery wall.

My UO Zig Zag Rug arrived. Still figuring out where it goes.

Doug and I had an amazing dinner at the Fearrington House to celebrate his parent's 35th anniversary.  It was amazing.

Belizian place mats are a good excuse to grill out.
