Moving On | House for Sale

A lot has transpired in the past 4 days...

Friday we made an offer on a house, left for the beach,  and the offer was accepted.  I feel like we have had so many ups and downs with the house hunt it was not expected. We literally had one day to get our house ready to put on the market.

I never thought I would get sentimental about our house, but as we get ready to list it this week I am starting to feel a little sad. I hated everything about this stupid ranch with cream carpet and nasty bathrooms when we bought it. Over the past couple years we transformed it into something I was proud to call my home. We painted every wall ourselves and made so many memories. I started a blog to document the progress of our house and ended up getting a job that I love because of it. I hope it goes to someone who loves it as much as I do.

The house is going on the market later this week, but I thought I would give readers a sneak peek. If you live in Raleigh and have friends who are interested in the North Hills area please send them my info and I will give them details.

  10. Your kitchen cabinets look amazing! I actually hired a painter to do the exact same thing to mine. He achieved the same look that you did on your own. I will remember the wet sanding technique. Fabulous job and what a difference!

  13. I think this calls for a furniture sale! Dibs on the entry runner, the dining chairs, the tortoise coffee table, the dining tables & chairs in your screened porch, and the outdoor furniture. Thanks in advance, and congrats on your new chapter!!

  20. I'm sure the new owners of your house would appreciate the work you put into it! As for your new house, it looks like you didn't have a lot of problems with the whole purchasing process. It's great, as you could focus on getting this old one sold. Good luck and may you have a good deal!

  21. Your house looks amazing! Each and every corner matches. It's just really befitting to be called a home. I'm sure the new owner is really proud and grateful to have found that gem of a house. Thanks for sharing that, Jessie! All the best to you!
