29

I celebrated my 29th birthday this weekend.  I like to take advantage of the situation and force all of my friends to hang out with me at the same time. It is pretty much the only time I can guilt trip everyone into coming out. People do not go out as much when you are 29.

My birthday wish list looked a little something like this. I am going to need yall to weigh in.

I LOVE this gift set from Jo Malone every year. It is only available around Christmas time. If you are not familiar with Jo Malone this is the best way to try it out.

Alexa Chung's legs.
Is that too much to ask?

I need advice. I really wanted a Vitamix, but let's get real. I am not trying to buy a $500 blender. I have heard great things about the Ninja (thanks Rachel). Do any of yall have this? Hoping this will put me on track to have Alexa's legs by the summer.

I am dying for a bicycle. I check Craigslist daily.

Doug and I do not have a lot of modern day conveniences. I am really wanting an espresso machine. I honestly do no even know where to start. There are so many options. Feel free to weigh in.

Domino is now offering subscriptions. The gift that keeps on giving.

  1. I really want a Vitamix too! I've heard they have them at Costco for $300. Still pricey, but much more reasonable than $500!

  2. The ninja works great. I make a smoothie almost every day and also use it as a food processor. No need to spend the 500 on a vitamix in my opinion.

  3. I had an espresso machine like the one pictured. Hard to clean. Pain in the butt to get everything just right. I now use a Nespresso and it's heaven. Perfect espresso shots in like 20 seconds. The milk frother is super easy and works great. Highly recommend.

  4. I just bought a Vitamix at Costco, price is $375 and its life changing! I delayed buying the vitamix because of the price but caught myself buying $300 Frye boots without thinking twice....price doesn't seem that bad when you think about it that way...

  6. I wish I was healthy enough to be able to give you insights on the Vitamix (I'm not. Which is why I don't have Alexa's legs- LOL!) But YES to the Domino subscription and a cute bike.

  7. I've heard good things about the Ninja too, but I think the good thing about the vitamix is it's longevity. It will last you a long time. It would stink to pay half price for a less expensive blender but have to get a new one in a few years. I'd probably splurge on the vitamix if I were in the market for a blender. My mom has it and loves it.

    Also happy birthday!

  10. Happy birthday to you!!! I just got a NutriBullet and am loving it. I think it's a smaller version of the VitaMix maybe? Either way, it's made killer smoothies in the morning and I am feeling much better every day having had a healthy breakfast. Those things aren't cheap either- $100 but we used a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupon and my beau gave it to me last week for Christmas!

  11. I've had the Ninja for about a year now and love it! I use it to make green smoothies every morning and it's also been awesome for pureeing soups etc. We were looking into the Vitamix and found that the Ninja actually rated higher on some consumer reports believe it or not.

    Happy birthday!

    xx

  16. My parents have the NInja. While it works well for general blending functions,I wasn't thrilled with it from a smoothie standpoint - I felt it didn't completely puree my greens. I had a crapy blender that kept braking, so my hubby picked up a Vitamix for me as an early Christmas gift from Costco (romantic, I know!). I think it was around $380. I've only had it for about a week and am addicted - I now understand what all the hype was about! I've also heard good thinks about the NutriBullet.
