Hey girl hey!

Nothing like Charlotte Smith to make your Monday a little brighter.

My super stylish and witty friend was featured on The Real Raleigh last week. Charlotte's house is a  treasure chest. Every piece comes with a story.  Her effortless style is truly authentic, just like her.

She recently opened up a store in Raleigh, Union Camp Collective. While Charlotte's style is impossible to replicate, she has something for everyone!

BEFORE AND AFTER: White Painted Brick and My Favorite Exterior Colors

We moved back in July and since that time we have not made a lot of changes to our new house. I stalked this house for a year and half before we ended up going under contract. I knew that the first thing I wanted to do was paint it white.

In my defense, I do love brick. Just very specific types of brick. Usually located in historic neighborhoods I cannot afford. This is the second house we painted and I do not regret it for a second.

We painted our brick and siding Benjamin Moore 'White Dove'.

Art: Catherine Booker Jones

After seeing Patricia Altschul's grand entry I started my own collection of vintage silhouettes. I needed something to hunt and I cannot fit another ginger jar in this house.

My friend, Rachel introduced me to  Catherine Booker Jones. I was immediately drawn to the urn groupings. They remind me of silhouettes and will stand the test of time. If you are local, Anne Wagoner Interiors is hosting Catherine on August 12th.

Hello, it's me.

This is my first blog post of 2016. I was pretty sure the blog was dead, until we started talking about starting a renovation. I ended up quitting my job unexpectedly when William was born. 2015 was all about being a Mom, while it was the best year of my life I was not very inspired.   In the past couple months I have started taking on clients and finally decorating our house. I do not know what it is, but I am feeling like it is 2010 and I just discovered design blogs. Everything feels exciting and fresh.

With all of this newfound excitement comes mania. Anyone who loves design probably knows the feeling.  I cannot shut my brain off. I move things around our house on a daily basis.  I make lists and lists of things to do. I make imaginary mood boards. Luckily, I have been able to get out some of my craziness on clients. There is still a lot left, so here I am.
